Diet Plans | Healthy and Effective Weight Loss

To lose weight requires a lot of effort and discipline. People always have weight loss objectives and easily make a firm decision like “I’m going to lose weight fast” at the very beginning. Then, have a “should” attitude and eventually “I mean to.” Some just want to lose weight effortlessly.

However, healthy and effective weight loss needs more than effort and discipline. It requires knowledge through correct information. The following are weight loss tips from weight loss experts Dr. Yoni Freedhoff and Dr. Arya Sharma.

Reduce Consumption of Calories in Drinks

Most people give more attention to the amount of calories in foods they eat than they take in drinks because liquids seem not to fill up as compared with solids.

If prior to a meal you already had 300 calories from your drink, you can’t get less than 300 calories at your meal.

Get Enough Sleep

Several studies have proved that not enough sleep contributes to weight gain. Lack of sleep affects the production of stress and hunger hormones as well as the ability of the body to process sugars in food.

Assess the Effectiveness of your Lose Weight Approach

Drastic diet requires a lot of effort but you may only get little results while too much relaxing diet makes your fat back.

It will likely end up a failure if you just want to do something for a few weeks to lose weight. The weight you had just shed is going to come back.

Be Realistic with your Goals

Too ambitious in losing weight brings no good at all. It can only give you frustration for not getting the results you want. It is ideal to set realistic goals, which means something that you can actually achieve.

Small and sustainable steps towards losing weight is a great way to start. You may just start a diet plan that involves 10-minute exercise everyday rather than starting an hour of exercise for 3 or 4 times a week that may result of giving up new exercise program as a result of over fatigue.

Your diet program should also start to cut off calories, carbohydrates, fats, etc. little by little. Sudden stop of eating all your favorite but unhealthy foods is not a good idea. You may end up not eating those foods for a couple of days but will end up eating them again because of too much craving. Give yourself a chance to adjust to your healthy lifestyle.

Give More Attention to Behaviors, Not Pounds

Make healthy lifestyle as your habit. Kill those unhealthy habits of eating while sitting, and watching a television. Keeping a food diary can greatly help for monitoring calorie consumption. Do not skip meal. Eat regularly in a small plate.
